Maribel Cruz
Maribel Cruz grew up in the Puget Sound region, graduated from Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, and attended the University of Phoenix, earning a degree in Business Management. After spending decades visiting Chelan to spend time with family, Maribel joined the Seven Acres Foundation team in May 2021 and quickly relocated her family full-time in May 2022.
Maribel has a deep passion for community, empathy, and engagement. To that end, Maribel plans to utilize existing and innovative methods in developing, improving, and delivering a world-class Community Center to the diverse communities of the Lake Chelan Valley. While her focus will be cultivating partnerships, relationships, volunteer programs, and managing the center's day-to-day operations, don't be surprised to see her involved in just about everything!
Along with nearly 20 years of experience, Maribel is laser-focused on reaching the Valley's most vulnerable and underserved populations, who will likely experience greater separation from the amenities The Community Center will bring. Fluent in Spanish, we are confident that Maribel will make great strides in this area.
Maribel has a loving husband, Chris, and two teenage children, Christian and Ariemi. She enjoys spending time with family, the warm summer months, taking her two boxer dogs on walks, entertaining friends and family, and swimming. As we draw nearer to the opening of the Community Center, you will continue to see more of her! Connect with Maribel at maribel@chelancommunity.org.
