Project Update: Construction Has Resumed!
Back in Business
Last week we mentioned that work would start again, and this week we are excited to share that not only is work restarting, but we will begin to see some new faces and equipment onsite. Crews are currently working on completing the stud framing in preparation for the ironworker crew and large crane to arrive over the next two weeks. This team is referred to as “steel erectors,” and as you can imagine, their job will be to create, install, place, align and reinforce the steel structure and framework of the main building.
Coming Up Next
The first order of business will be to build the steel beams and girders necessary to create the second floor of the main building. The second floor will include a mezzanine that will overlook the nearly 10,000 square foot gymnasium below. This will be an excellent viewpoint for spectators to watch a basketball or indoor volleyball game. We also plan to outfit the mezzanine area with stationary fitness equipment for those looking to advance their wellness goals.
It is undoubtedly an exciting time as we begin to take what we’ve imagined and begin to build what the community center will look like and what it will provide to our community! Stay tuned for more updates on our progress.
